Current Update
" Let this be written for a future generation,
that a people not yet created may praise the LORD."
Psalms 102:18
Thank you for your prayer and financial support. Although we are currently in between campaign 1 and campaign 2 all contributions are being applied to campaign 1 pledges.
As of August 31, 2010 we have received:
Commitments Pledged: 684 - $4,632,035
Gifts Received: $4,491,370
Scrip Sale Profits - $53,290
A note from Pastor Zinn, "It’s on My Heart" Before I answer that question, let me update on you on our status with the current campaign. As of April 30, we have received $3,895,000 in gifts from 1,408 families. We have also received $33,990 from our Scrip sales and $496,000 from the interest we are receiving. After paying initial design fees we have $4,500,000 right now earning interest as we prepare for the next phase. God has truly blessed! When the vision was cast, the church voted to proceed with back to back campaigns. The logical next step would be to start the second campaign as the present is coming to a conclusion. This is the point in which I need to share my heart with you. With much prayer and counsel we are not going forward immediately with the second campaign. The state of the present economic situation is no secret. We have many members who are facing job loss, reduction in pay, and increased financial burdens. There has also been some reduction in construction costs. This has prompted us to reevaluate the project to see what it will potentially cost, praying that it has decreased in a sizeable way. We will also use this time to study thoroughly the project’s scope to make certain it will meet our needs as a body as well as glorify God. You may be asking what we can do until we launch our second campaign. First and foremost, pray for families in our church who are affected by the current economic situation. Pray that God will truly supply them with what they need during this time. You can also pray that the decrease in construction costs will lead to a decrease in the cost of the project. Lastly you can pray that we have wisdom in the design of the building so that it will be first class and that God will be glorified. You can continue to give, as I am going to do. Whether you choose to go beyond your commitment or finish your current commitment, pray that God will direct you and for obedience. In regards to the funds received to date, our plan is to let those funds continue to draw interest and increase. This combined with continued giving until we launch the next campaign, will most certainly see us closer to realizing the vision that God has given us to build the future Worship Center and reach this community, city, state, country and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I certainly am not taking this as a defeat. I am looking at this as an opportunity to see God work in and through all of us. Continue to keep the faith and knowledge that God’s timing is always best. In His Wonderful Name, Pastor
In May 2006 we started our three year “Believe Campaign.” The purpose was to raise funds to build our new Worship Center. I believe it has been a great campaign. During the past three years many people have given above and beyond their tithe to support the vision God has given us - to continue to do whatever it takes to reach our city, state, country and world. We are now coming to the end of the three years and many have been asking, “What next?”
